Funeral services for Carolyn Irene Lumpkin Johnson will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015, at Cool Spring M.B. Church with pastor Byron Maxwell officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Friday from 2 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home, and Saturday at the church on from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.

Mrs. Johnson died Nov. 26, 2015 at her home. She was 63.

Born and reared on Vicksburg, she was a 1972 graduate of Warren Central High School, and a graduate of Hinds Community College. She attended Alcorn State University, and was a former employee of Covenant Health and Rehab Center, Parkview Medical Center and Deaconess Home Care and Hospice Advantage.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Dorsey Johnson; parents, Terrell and Willie Mae Lumpkin; and three brothers, Jessie Lumpkin Sr., Lee Charles Lumpkin Sr., and Allen Lumpkin.

Survivors include one son, Terry Johnson of Los Angeles; one daughter, Jeanette Johnson of Vicksburg; three brothers, Aaron Lumpkin, and Jerry Lumpkin, both of Vicksburg, and Sylvester Lumpkin of Los Angeles; one sister, Catherine Lumpkin Gleese of Vicksburg; two grandchildren; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
