Mr. Roy L. Grady Lowery Sr. passed away Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015, at his residence in Flora. He was 69 years old.

Roy was born in Vicksburg. He was a retired riverboat captain, devoted father, husband and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Mary Lowery; his wife, Ruthelea Lowery; his siblings, Willard, Elmer and Mary Frances Lowery. He is survived by his sons, Roy L. Lowery Jr., Thomas Lowery and Brett Hilton; daughters, Kristi Hilton, Melissa Lowery and Andrea Lowery; a brother, Odis Lowery and grandchildren, Chase Lowery, Kayia Hilton and Nikki Lowery.

Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7, 2015, at Glenwood Funeral Home Chapel with visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home and burial following in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chase Lowery, Ricky Lowery, Rusty Lowery, James Horn, Barney Owens and Jimmy Gladwell Jr.
