Vicksburg native, Dr. Barbara Mauldin, was crowned Ms. Senior America 2015 in Atlantic City, N.J. during the 35th annual event, which was held on Oct. 23.

Mauldin, who is a resident of Petal, competed against 35 other contestants from 35 states and the UK before winning the title.

Mauldin belongs to the Mississippi Dental Association and as a Rotarian has participated in local mission work. She has also traveled to Peru, Nicaragua and Honduras for dental mission work. Mauldin also belongs to the USA Ballroom Dance Organization and the Far West Ski Association.
