Flora Claudette Davies of Eden Prairie, Minn., died peacefully at the age of 75 on Dec. 4, 2015, surrounded by her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Mary Ella Curtis of Vicksburg.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, E. Wyn Davies of Eden Prairie, Minn.; daughter, Bethan Davies of Plymouth, Minn.; son, Derrick Davies of Houston, Texas; and one sister, Sue Curtis Crawford of Flora.

Claudette was born in Vicksburg Oct. 13, 1940. She graduated from Carr Central High School in 1958 and Delta State University in 1962.

After graduating, Claudette worked as a schoolteacher for 11 years, including three years teaching for the U.S. Department of Defense in Germany and Japan.

She attended Bible study fellowship and served as a discussion leader for 14 years. She was an avid world traveler, but her greatest passion in life was her children. She leaves behind many good friends and will be remembered for her kindness to everyone.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
