Lennie Mae Bonner died Friday, Dec. 11, 2015, in Vicksburg.
She was 90.
Born to James Clifton Brown and Lela Frances Anderson Brown on Nov. 29, 1925, she was a native of Claiborne County, where she lived most of her life, and had lived in Vicksburg for the past 10 years.
She was the owner and operator on Lennie’s Beauty Shop in the Shiloh community for approximately 30 years, and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Bonner; son, Edwin Thomas Bonner; and brother, J.C. Brown.
Survivors include a daughter, Jimmie Twiner of Vicksburg; brother, Vernon Brown of Port Gibson; sister, Bertha Burke of Campbell, Texas; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 14, 2015, at Wintergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Burt Bryant officiating.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. Monday at Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson.
Pallbearers will be James Twiner, Roger Herrington, Carl Brown, Charlie Brown, Merit Finney, and Chris Morgan.
