Mrs. Jimmie Davis, 78, passed away Friday, Dec. 18, 2015, at Regency Hospital in Jackson.

The Funeral Service will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2015, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram with visitation beginning at noon.

Burial will follow at Lakewood South Memorial Park.

She was a native of Anniston, Ala., where she married the love of her life, William “Bill” Davis on his birthday, Dec. 20, 1954.  She moved to Byram in 1964.

She loved animals, especially her Pomeranian, “Teenie.”  Most of all, her greatest joy was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, William “Bill” Davis, and her sister, Mary Bonds.

She leaves behind her three children, Steve Davis of Jackson, Dee Dee (David) Holmes of Crystal Springs and Bill Davis of Jackson; brother, Robert Pierce of Atlanta; four grandchildren, David “Bubba” Holmes, Jade Holmes, Whit Holmes, and Cameron Davis; five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
