GREENVILLE — Arthur Bennett Peyton Sr. died Dec. 27, 2015, in Greenville. He was 86.

Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Frazier Peyton of Greenville; sons Arthur B. Peyton Jr. of Madison, Perry Peyton of San Diego and Wardell Ferguson of Newport News, Va.; daughters,

Benita Guy of Minneapolis, Tenn., Hattie Peyton of Jackson, Julia Cassandra Tennin of Jackson,

Francine Peyton Cheeks of Vicksburg, Dianne Danley of Memphis, Tenn., and Tracy Grady of Greenville; 19 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016, at Mercy Seat M.B. Church in Greenville with pastor Gene Fowler officiating. Burial will be at Oaklawn M.G. Cemetery in Greenville.

Visitation is Friday from 1 to 4 p.m. at Byas Funeral Home in Greenville.
