Clyde Eugene Smith, 75, Crystal River, Fla., died Dec. 26, 2015, at Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast in Lecanto, Fla.

Mr. Smith was born Sept. 9, 1940 in McBride to Harvey W. and Bertha Mae Jones Smith.

He moved to Citrus County 11 years ago from Homestead, Fla. Clyde was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Red level Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Smith; four children, Richard Smith, Shannon Aretz, George Thalman and Stephan Smith; four sisters, Ethel Grisham, Thelma Hoffman, Ann Morgan, and Kathy Cupit; one brother, Harvey Smith; and seven grandchildren.

Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday Jan. 2, 2016, at McBride Methodist Church. Burial will be at McBride cemetery in McBride.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.

Pallbearers will be Richard Smith, Stephen Smith, George Thalman, Jess Cloy, Nick Cloy and Mark Grisam.
