Janie Brady Williams

Janie Brady Williams, was born Feb. 22, 1947. Our precious angel entered Heaven on Thursday, January 14, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was 68 years old.

Born in Holly Bluff, she was the daughter of the late Ross Brady and Marjorie Boyd Brady.

She and her late husband, Tommy H. Williams, moved to Vicksburg in 1979. She was a homemaker for about 20 years.

She was an exceptional mother and Nana. She enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening, and crocheting. Her passion was in her candlemaking, Candle Creations, and she enjoyed sharing her candles with others.

She started her career with Lawson Products in January 1998, after losing the love of her life. She was very successful in her sales career. She was awarded “The Century Club Silver Award,” as well as, “The Century Club Gold Award,” for her outstanding sales. She was admired by her customers for her professionalism and integrity.

She was not only our mother and Nana, she was our very best friend. She had a love for her family that will live on in our hearts forever. She taught each of us, to always walk by faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy H. Williams; and her parents, Ross and Marjorie Boyd Brady.

She is survived by her children, Kim Williams McCormick (Joe) of Vicksburg, and Chris Williams (Teresa) of Biloxi; grandchildren, Katelyn McCormick, Natalie McCormick, and Christopher Williams, all of Vicksburg, and McKenzie Boone and Conner Boone of Biloxi; siblings, Jaime Morton of Soldotna, Alaska, and Jimmy Brady of Kosciusko.

She attended Crossway Church.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016, at 11 a.m. at the Glenwood Chapel. Burial will take place at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Satartia.

Pallbearers will be Chris Williams, Joe McCormick III, Jimmy Brady, Joe McCormick Jr., Jeff Adair, and Chris Satcher.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dan Mashburn, Dr. Philip B. Ley, the staff of Jackson Oncology and the staff of Baptist Infusion.
