Grant Jones Jr. died Jan. 21, 2016, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center. He was 54.

He was an employee of Tyson Food for 25 years, and served in the United States Army.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his father, Grant Jones Sr.; and his grandson, Christopher De’Mond Jones Jr.

Survivors include his mother, Martha Lewis of Vicksburg; three children, Grant Jones III, Christopher Jones and Christal Jones, all of Vicksburg; two stepchildren, Sammie Lindsey of Houston, Texas, and Tyieshia McGowan of Vicksburg; the mother of his children, Alora McGowan of Vicksburg; two sisters, Brenda Love and LaWanda Thomas, both of Vicksburg; three brothers, Bryant Lewis of Vicksburg, and Jimmy Jones and Henry Jones, both of Little Rock, Ark.; 21 grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Services will be noon Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
