Johnnie Edgar Cook died Monday, Feb. 1, 2016, at Vicksburg Convalescent Home. He was 90.

He was a retired veteran, serving in the U.S. Army and also retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys Lee Cook of Vicksburg; his son, Ralph Cook of Utica; three grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Brian Ivey, pastor of Highland Baptist Church officiating.

Glenwood Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
