In an effort to reach more readers, more residents of Vicksburg and Warren County with the main headlines of the day, The Vicksburg Post recently launched a new product.
In late January, thousands of area residents began receiving a daily email, complete with the links for the top stories of the day through The Post’s daily news email.
“This is just one more way for us to reach out to our readers,” said Post publisher Tim Reeves. “Over the past few months, we have worked to improve each of our products, including our digital products, to better serve our readers and to provide information to the residents of Vicksburg and Warren County in as many formats as possible.”
Nearly 4,000 residents are already receiving the daily email and there is an easy way for those who want the email to sign up.
“All you have to do is visit our website, www.vicksburgpost.com, and click on the link titled ‘Daily Email Signup’,” Reeves said. “From there, the link will take you to a page where you can provide your email information. That’s it. There’s no cost to it and we worked to ensure that the signup process was as simple as possible.”
The email is managed through the widely known email marketing company, Constant Contact, which provides a secure platform for those signed up.
“It is important to us to meet the needs of our customers, our readers,” Reeves said. “If we can find ways to better serve their interests, provide them the news they are looking for in a format they prefer, then we will do it.”
With the daily newspaper, the website and social media, and now the daily news email, The Post touts a daily audience of nearly 30,000 people, and growing.
