Funeral services for Clementine Mixon Jones will be noon Friday, Feb. 12, 2016, at Alder’s Gate UMC Church, Jackson with the Rev. Dwight D. Prowell officiating. Burial will follow at Garden Memorial Cemetery under the direction of  W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home and Friday at the church from 11 a.m. until the service.

Mrs. Jones died Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, at Hospice Ministries. She was 74. She was a homemaker and had worked for W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home as an insurance agent. She was a member of the Guiding Star M. B. Church of Cary.

She was preceded in death by her father, David Mixon; her mother, Emma Gilmore Collins; son, Anthony Stevens; daughter, Sheryn Kay Jones; her brother, David Mixon Jr.; and sister, Annie Lee Tate.

Survivors include husband, Fred Jones of Jackson; three sons, Kenneth E Jones of Terry, Gerald D. Jones of Houston, Texas, and Fredrick K. Jones of Las Vegas; daughter, Jannifer J. Lott of Clinton; sisters, Claudette Hurston of Jackson and Myrtle Mixon of California; 16 grandchildren, 7 great- grandchildren; and nieces, nephews cousins and other relatives and friends.
