Funeral services for Hattie McDade Howard will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016 at Zion Rock Missionary Baptist Church in Belzoni. Burial will follow in Humphreys County Memorial Gardens under the direction of Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Friday at the church from 5 to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service.

Mrs. Howard died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016, at her home in Belzoni. She was 85.

A member of Zion Rock M.B. Church, she served on the Mother Board and had also served as president of the Mission Society.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, the Rev. Benjamin B. Howard; her parents, Obie John McDade and Patience Harris McDade; and two sisters and three brothers.

Survivors include six sons, Greg Howard, Chester Howard, Washington Howard, Calvin Howard, Johnny Howard, and Jerome Howard; six daughters, Lou Ada Lee, Patricia Byest, Shirley Howard, Carolyn Coats, Evelyn Allen, and Ernestine Howard; and grandchildren; great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, and other relatives and friends.
