Gerald “Jerry” Bennett, 64, died Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, at the V.A. Nursing Home in Jackson.

He was born March 2, 1951, to the late Robert Lee and Janie Ruth Summers Bennett.

Jerry served his country in the U.S. Army. He was the owner of Jerry’s Collision Center in Vicksburg where he was not only able to fix cars, but also touch many lives. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert “Bubba” Bennett; and one sister.

He is survived by his son, Jerry Bennett; and nephew, Randy Bennett.
