The Vicksburg Gators and Warren Central Lady Vikes will wait another day to begin their quest for a state championship.

Both teams’ first-round MHSAA state tournament games were postponed Tuesday because of the threat of severe weather across Mississippi. A number of school districts dismissed classes early, and the Vicksburg Warren School District cancelled all after-school activities.

Vicksburg’s boys basketball team will now play at Holmes County Central Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the first round of the Class 5A tournament.
