Jefferson Bernard Haden

Jefferson Bernard Haden died Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson. He was 88.

Mr. Haden was born in Louin. He owned and operated Haden Hardware in Vicksburg since 1958. He was a member and second oldest deacon at First Baptist Church of Vicksburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Orren Haden and Bonnie Lillie Haden; sisters, Nora Betty Downs and Lizzie Kate Haden; brothers, George Kermitt Haden and Milton Haden; and a great grandson Jefferson Knox Pickett. Mr. Haden is survived by his wife, Gertrude Haden of Vicksburg; three sons, Mike Haden (Rinda) of Vicksburg, Eddie Haden (Ann) of Vicksburg, and Kenny Haden (Debbie) of Vicksburg; one brother, Glenn Haden of Louin; two sisters, Bonnie Dell Talley of Louin and Elna Faye Coit of Chunky; four grandchildren, Heather Ashley (Chris), Michael Haden, Heidi Pickett, Kelly Meeks; two great grandchildren, Haden Ashley and Aideyn Pickett.

Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home and 1 to 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 29, 2016, at Glenwood Funeral Home. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Glenwood Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Matt Buckles officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
