Elisabeth Grier Graham, at the age of 91, surrounded by her family, peacefully passed away March 2, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Walter James Runyon Jr. and Joe B. Graham Jr.
Elisabeth Graham is survived by her children, Lyn Runyon Frazier and John Frazier of Vicksburg, Bec Runyon Bryan and Charles Neil of Orange Beach, Ala., and Ann Runyon Carter and Sandy Carter of Jackson.
Mrs. Graham, “Bette,” was born Sept. 15, 1924, in Salisbury, Md., where she attended Salisbury State University.
Jackson became her home in 1945, where her family attended and her children were baptized at St. James’ Episcopal Church. In 1962, Bette and family moved to Vicksburg, where she and her family embraced The Church of the Holy Trinity for 53 years.
Bette was preceded in death by her parents, Ella McLain and Alexander Toadvin Grier; and her brother, David A. Grier and his wife Joann.
She leaves four grandchildren, Meghan Frazier Fancher of Fairhope, Ala., Kathleen Elisabeth Carter of New York, Rebecca Carter Tisher and Charles Tisher Jr. of Mobile, Ala., and William Ross Sanders Carter of Jackson.
She is also preceded by her great-grandson, Charles David Tisher III.
Visitation will take place March 6, 2016, at 12:30 p.m. at The Church of the Holy Trinity in Vicksburg, followed by her Memorial Service at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Beth Palmer officiating.
