Wilma Boldon White

EDWARDS — Wilma Boldon White died Wednesday, March 16, 2016. She was 76.

Mrs. White was born Dec. 13, 1939, in Vicksburg to the late Minnie Terry and Walter Dave Kelly.

She was a graduate of Rosa A. Temple High School in Vicksburg, and later received a degree in cosmetology from Hinds Community College. She worked as a self-employed hairdresser before going to work for McCarty Foods for two years, and was later a nutritionist for Edwards/Bolton School. She was a member of United Missionary Baptist Church in Edwards.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, John Martin and Wardell Johnson Sr.; and sisters, Dorothy Terry and Beulah Marion.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Cleophus White of Edwards; two daughters, Terry White of Edwards and Kelly White of Clinton; a son, Cleophus White Jr. of Edwards; two sisters, Eunice Lewis and Ruby Martin, both of Vicksburg; a brother, James Kelly of Vicksburg; two grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2016 at United M.B. Church in Edwards. Burial will be at Morning Star M.B. Church Cemetery in Learned.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 8 p.m. at Willis and Sons Funeral Home in Jackson with the family present from 6 to 8.
