Eddie Frank Kinnard Sr.

PORT GIBSON — Eddie Frank Kinnard Sr., 60, died Thursday, March 17, 2016, at Poconos Medical Center in Stroudsburg, Penn.

In 2005, he was elected to the Claiborne County Election Commission in District 1, where he served until his death.

He was preceded in death by his adopted parents, Frank and Amie Ellis; two sisters, Lethia Sweezer and Ethel M. Myles; a brother, J.P. Neal; and a niece, Linda Flowers.

Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Davis Kinnard of Port Gibson; three daughters, Angela Davis King, Michelle Kinnard Banks and Dominique Hargro, all of Port Gibson; two sons, Eddie Kinnard Jr. and Ronnie Davis, both of Port Gibson; five sisters, Ledith Sweezer, Linda Sweezer Bradley and Angela Sweezer, all of New York, Audrey Sweezer of Long Island, N.Y., and Alice M. Flowers of Phoenix; one brother, Lennie Sweezer of Lake Okeechobee, Fla.; one brother-in-law; 11 grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 11a.m., Saturday, March 26, 2016, at Mercy Seat M.B. Church in Port Gibson, with the Rev. Ray Coleman officiating.  Burial will be at Hermanville Cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home Inc. of Port Gibson.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the funeral home, and Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.
