Funeral services for Patricia Ann Boyd-Bell will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at Greater Grove Street M.B. Church with the Rev. Dr. Casey D. Fisher officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday from 2 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home and Tuesday at the church from noon until the hour of service.

Mrs. Bell died March 22, 2016, at the University Medical Center in Jackson. She was 70.

A native of Meridian, she was a member of East Mount Moriah Baptist Church. She was a 1963 graduate of Harris High School in Meridian and attended Meridian Junior College where she was a member of the marching band.

She was employed at Bancorp South in Vicksburg until her retirement in 2004. She was also an active member of Eureka Temple of Elks Lodge No. 737, TK Soul Fan Club, and the Vicksburg Gator Football Booster Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob R. and Dorothy M. Echols-Boyd; sister, Carolyn Boyd-Mingo; her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Survivors include her husband, Gene A. Bell Sr. of Vicksburg; three daughters, Deborah Bell-Harris and Cynthia Bell, both of Vicksburg, and Elanor Bell of Dallas, Texas; one son, Gene Bell Jr. of Vicksburg; two step-daughters, Kisha Craig of Vicksburg and Frances Hunter of Atlanta, Ga.; three sisters, Ruby Curtis of Calumet City, Ill., Dorothy R. Boyd of Meridian and Barbara Dove of Cleveland, Ohio; five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends including Willie Mae Johnson of Vicksburg, and the Boyd, Boston, Bell, Henyard and McFarland families.
