Chestley D. Nash

Chestley D. Nash died Sunday, March 27, 2016, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. He was 90.

Chestley was born September 16, 1925, in Gloster, to Edward A. and Maude Netterville Nash.

He attended David Lipscob College and Mississippi State University. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Vicksburg Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Maudella Nash Herndon Riles and Betty Nash Steele.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Helen W. Nash of Vicksburg; his three sons, Larry Delee (Barbara) Nash of Ashland City, Tenn., Barry A. (Cyndee) Nash of Vicksburg and Edward Kent Nash of Cedar Hill, Tenn.; his brother, Edward A. Nash of San Antonio, Texas; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three nieces and two nephews.

Chestley was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle. He will be greatly missed by all, as well as a large group of friends.

Memorials may be made to the Berean Children’s Home, 1026 Shell Oil Lane, SE, Brookhven, MS 39601.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2016. at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Glenwood Funeral Home with Wade Hammack and Larry Macomber officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
