Funeral services for Lee Esther Bridges will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 2, in the Kings Empowerment Center with the Rev. Joseph Willis officiating. Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery with W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home in charge. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 1, in the Chapel.
Lee Esther Bridges died Friday, March 25, in her home surrounded by family and friends. She was 62.
She was retired from the Kings Headstart having worked as a cook. She was a member of the St. Mark M. B. Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, J. C. Long; mother, Mary Lee Jefferson Smith; husband, James Roscoe Bridges; brothers, Robert Smith and Willie Smith Jr.
She is survived by her daughters, Lenore Fay Bridges Cooks of Vicksburg and Shinika Pershette Bridges of Desoto, Texas; three brothers, Milton Jefferson, William Jefferson and Benard Jefferson, all of Vicksburg; six sisters, Sharon Dotson, Sandra Smith, Rosetta Smith, Mary Watson, Melvina Jones and Sadie Bush, all of Vicksburg; three grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
