Troy Lee Goss Sr. died Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at his home. He was 93.

He was the son of the late Albert and Minnie Goss. Mr. Goss was a retired employee of South Central Bell with over 41 years of service. Mr. Goss was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army 897th Ordnance Division, and a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Arthur Goss and Albert Goss.

Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Elizabeth Ainsworth Goss; two sons, Troy Lee Goss Jr. and Robert Melvin Goss, both of Vicksburg; one daughter, Debra Goss Tompkins of Vicksburg; two sisters, Hazel Wrowden of Edmund, Okla. and Nora Jean Beasley of Vicksburg; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 1, 2016, at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. Kent Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service.

Pallbearers will be T.L. Goss III, Robert Cody Goss, Mickey Eaton, Shawn Eaton, Kyle Eaton, Warren Ellis and Jay Ratliff. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. James Valentine, Dr. Sam Pierce, Dr. Michael Bailey, Woodie Beach, Carroll Smith, Bill Henley, Sonny Rule and Lezlie Connelly.
