Carol Bracken Howell, 75, of Vicksburg, passed away April 1, 2016, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center.

She was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg and a member of the Christ Episcopal Church. She worked for Dr. James Cook and Dr. Kimble Love.

She is preceded in death by daughter, Donna Elizabeth DeRossette; father, Clyde Bracken Sr.; and mother, Margaret Bracken.

She is survived by husband, Ted Howell of Vicksburg; one brother, Clyde Bracken Jr. of McKinney, Texas; one granddaughter, Kristen DeRossette Nosser of Slidell, La.; two nephews, Doug and James “Kent” Bracken; and two nieces, Catherine Bracken Bell and Patricia Bracken Manson.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 4, 2016, at Glenwood Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday April 3, 2016, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Her nephews will serve as pallbearers, and the Rev. Bobby Abraham will be conducting the service under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.
