Sallie Hambright Tedder

Sallie Hambright Tedder, a lifelong resident of Vicksburg, passed away Friday, April 1, 2016, at her home. She was 90.
She was the daughter of the late George Fred and Birdie Lee Dedmond Hambright. Mrs. Tedder was a retired employee of Cooper Lighting and was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jessie Paul Tedder; two children, Flora Lee Brown and Wiley Paul Tedder; two grandsons, Allen Ray Tedder, Jessie Martin Tedder; two sisters, Ione Rainey, and Estelle “Sis” Bacon; and one great-great-grandson, Chandler Lee Saldana.
Survivors include five grandchildren, Paula Joyce Traxler, Susan Denise Murrah and John Wayne Erwin Sr., all of Vicksburg, Lori Ann Placher and Jennifer Lynne Tedder, both of Lafayette, La.; 11 great-grandchildren, B.J. Davis, Matt Traxler, Johnathon Erwin, John Erwin Jr., Courtney D. Saldana, Nicholas Saldana, Zachary Tedder, Zander Tedder, Joshua Placher, Christiana Placher and Isabella Placher; one great-great-grandson, Colby Sanders; two brothers, Estrelle “Red” Hambright of Vicksburg and George Hambright of Utica; and one sister, Flora Mae Burris of Monroe, La.
Services will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. Bryan Ables officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation is Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
Pallbearers will be John Erwin Jr., Nicholas Saldana, Zachary Tedder, Joshua Placher, Claude Ezell and David Jackson. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Allen Traxler, Bobby Davis Jr., Johnathon Erwin, John Erwin Sr., Red Hambright and Wayne Hambright.
