Melody C. Williams died Monday, April 11, 2016, at her home in Vicksburg. She was 48.

She was a lifelong resident of the Vicksburg and the Claiborne County area, where she was a homemaker. She attended Hermanville Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Summer Williams in 1991.

Survivors include her daughter, Winter Taylor of Vicksburg; sons, Shannon Williams of Jackson and Sherman Marion Williams of Port Gibson; father, Harry Purser of Markham, Texas; and sisters, Melinda Bryant of Vicksburg, Sherry Mann of Brandon and Crystal Stokes of Oak Grove, La.

Graveside services will be noon, Thursday, April 14, 2016, at Hermanville Cemetery in Hermanville under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.
