UTICA — Virlean Carson Fisher died Wednesday, April 13, 2016.

Mrs. Fisher was born June 9, 1927, in Hinds County and was a member of New Oak Ridge M.B. Church. She married Louis Charles Fisher Sr. in 1946, and they had nine children.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years; a son, Leroy Fisher; her parents; three brothers; and six sisters.

Survivors three sons, Sharkey Fisher, Louis Fisher Jr. and Lenzy Fisher, all of Utica; five daughters, Betty Garrett, Lillian Magee, Patricia Burks and Debbie Segrest, all of Utica, and Beverly Hay of Byram; three sisters, Josephine Richards of Utica, Nettie Terry of Raymondand Barbara Lee of Utica; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at New Oak Ridge MB Church in Utica. Burial will be at Rohelia Church Cemetery in Edwards.

Visitation will be Monday from 1 to 7 p.m, at Willis and Sons Funeral Home in Jackson.
