PORT GIBSON — Mary Ette Brown McNary died Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Claiborne County Medical Center. She was 65.

Mrs. McNary was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Lee and Lutisha Brown; two brothers, Ernest Brown Jr. and Leon Brown; and a sister, Dorothy Jones.

Survivors include a son, Samuel Brown II of Portage, Mich.; a brother, Ellison Brown of Madison; four sisters, Pearlie Rankin and Debadee Brown-Bozeman, both of Port Gibson, and Patricia McConnico and Barbara Brown, both of Boston, Mass.; an aunt; an uncle; four grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be noon, Saturday, April 23, 2016, at Ashland M.B. Church in Port Gibson with the Rev. Richard Cruel officiating. Burial will be at Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home Inc. of Port Gibson.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home, and Saturday at the church from 11 a.m. until the service.
