Melvin Clinton “Clint” Pickett III, 55, passed away on April 17, 2016.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton.

A funeral mass will be held Thursday, April 21, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Clinton with a visitation beginning at 9 a.m. A graveside service will follow at Hermanville Cemetery in Hermanville.

Clint was born on April 29, 1960, in Port Gibson. He grew up in Hermanville and graduated from Chamberlain Hunt Academy. He worked for Armstrong World Industries/Armstrong Flooring for 29 years. He was the financial secretary for United Steel Workers Union Local No. 363-L. He was also chairman of the supervisory committee for Jackson ACCO Credit Union.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Augusta ‘Pat” Pickett Jr.; grandparents, Herman and Laudee Williams, Melvin and Casille Pickett Sr.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Janet Beasley Pickett; his children, Isaac Clinton Pickett, Jessica Lynn Pickett, and Zan Thomas Pickett all of Clinton; his sisters, Glenda Thornton (Darrell) of Hermanville, Melva Powers (Donnie) of Vicksburg, Charlotte Miller (David) of Vicksburg and Ellen Yates of Vicksburg; and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port Gibson, Hermanville Baptist Church in Hermanville, or Holy Savior Catholic Church in Clinton.
