Maxine Wright

Maxine Wright, a lifelong resident of Vicksburg, died Sunday, April 24, 2016, at Promise Hospital. She was 85.

She was the daughter of the late C.D. and Emma Kirkley Goza.

Maxine was a retired employee of the city of Vicksburg Water and Gas Department and was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lee Wright; daughter, Patsy Marie Wright Jackson; son-in-law, Fred Jackson; brother, Alton Goza; and stepson, Robert Wright.

Survivors include a brother, Wallace Goza; four grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great -grandchildren.

Maxine was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her.

Services will be at 1 p.m Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. Bryan Ables officiating.

Visitation will be  Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the hour of  service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Yokena Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Miller, Daniel Miller, Cody Owens, and Michael Owens. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Robert Lee Giffin, the staff of Covenant Home and Rehab of Vicksburg and the staff of Promise Hospital.
