PORT GIBSON — Dolores J. Ross-Smith died Thursday, April 28, 2016, at her daughter’s home. She was 85.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, Consuella Conti and Thad Smith; five sisters, Marguerite Thompson, Merlin “Jimmie” Ross, Juanita “Snookum” Wyatt, Lucky Ross and Lela Turner.

Survivors include her daughter, Consuella “Bonnie” Bishop of Byrum; an adopted son, Marcus “Pepper” Graise; four grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives and friends.

A Mass of the Resurrection for will be 1p.m., Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Port Gibson with the Rev. Norbert N’Zilamba officiating. Burial will be at Scott’s Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home Inc. of Port Gibson.

Visitation is Monday, from 1 to 5:30p.m. at the funeral home, and Tuesday at the church from noon until the service.
