Edith Andrews McKneely died Sunday, May 1, 2016, at her home. She was 98.
Mrs. McKneely was born on April 10, 1918, to William “Babe” and Stella Kelly Andrews in Red Lick.
She was a homemaker and a member of Warrenton Independent Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William S. McKneely Sr.; two grandchildren, Skylar Smith and Erica Adams; two sisters, Lillian Osteen, Ethel Ann Andrews; two brothers, William “Bill” Andrews, James “Jimmy” Andrews.
Survivors include four daughters, Gayla Smith of Vicksburg, Sherrill Curtis of Wesson, Lillian Williamson of Vicksburg and Mary Taylor of Tallulah, La.; two sons, William S. McKneely Jr. of Calvert, Ky., and the Rev. James Earl McKneely of Monticello; one sister, Lurline Strickland of Vicksburg; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2016, at Warrenton Independent Baptist Church with the Rev. Marvin Curtis and the Rev. Scottee Dodson officiating.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Thursday until the hour of service at the church. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Warrenton Independent Baptist Church.
