Mayor George Flaggs Jr. will be the keynote speaker at the 14th annual Scholarship Banquet of Brotherhood Inc. of Anchorage, Alaska Saturday.

Brotherhood Inc. of Anchorage is a non-profit organization of business and professional people in Anchorage that encourages and supports the educational advancement of youth in Alaska, and provides scholarships to the colleges of their choice.

In the past decade, the organization has raised and distributed more then $528,000 in scholarships to students.

Flaggs said he looks forward to speaking about the Excel by 5 and Leader in Me programs.
