Funeral services for Edgar Gibson will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2016, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness with Elder Ron Waters officiating. Burial will follow at East Mount Olive Cemetery in Red Lick under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Mr. Gibson died Friday, May 6, 2016, at Promise Hospital. He was 88. He was retired from First National Bank and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness. He was preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Shellie Berry Gibson; and his wife Rosie Bingham Gibson; and sisters, Roberdia Gibson, Jean Gibson and Mattie Odems.

Survivors include three sons, Carl Gibson of Texas, George Bingham of Texas and Charlie Clark of Red Lick; three brothers, Kenny Gibson of Red Lick, Alfred Gibson Jr. and Otis Gibson, both of Inkston, Mich.; six sisters, Bobbie Ruth Gibson, Shirley Gibson Bell , Yvonne Gibson Chambliss, Inez Gibson and Martha Coleman, all of Red Lick, and Wanda Bingham of Vicksburg; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
