Mary White Nelson Sweet, 89, of Vicksburg,  passed away May 7, 2016.

Mary was born  Jan. 2, 1927, to Mary White Nelson and Dotson McGinnis Nelson of Clinton.

She graduated from Mississippi College and went on to receive a Master’s Degree in clinical psychometrics.  She loved teaching and taught at All Saints Episcopal School until she retired. She then worked as a travel consultant for the Vicksburg Tourism Bureau.

She is survived by three children, Lois Sweet Spengeman of New Orleans, Sarah Nelson Sweet of Charlotte N. C., William Edward Sweet of Vicksburg; and her granddaughter, Marisa Elizabeth Spengeman.

She will be dearly missed by all her friends and family.

A private interment service will be held.
