WC tennis tryouts

Tryouts for Warren Central’s tennis team will be held Thursday and Friday, May 19 and 20, at Halls Ferry Park, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Players must have a completed physical form and their own racquet. For more information, call coach Jeff Pilgrim at 601-638-3372.

Fuzzy Johnson baseball

Registration for the 2016 season of the Fuzzy Johnson Baseball League is now open. The league is open to children ages 5-14, and will include three age groups. Play 2 Wynn basketball

The 14th annual Play 2 Wynn Basketball Camp is scheduled for June 20-24 at Vicksburg High School. The camp is for boys and girls ages 6-17, and the registration is $100. It will be under the direction of Donna Brown-Wynn, a Vicksburg native who played and coached at Mississippi State and Belmont University.

Packers registration

The Vicksburg Packers youth football and cheer training camp and registration will be held each Monday and Wednesday, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., at the Vicksburg Junior High football stadium on Baldwin Ferry Road. Registration is open to boys and girls ages 6 to 12. Players and cheerleaders must not turn 13 before Aug. 1. There will be teams for players 8-, 10- and 12-and-under.

Tryouts for Warren Central’s varsity boys basketball team will be held May 23-26, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. each day, at Warren Central High School’s Gym A. Players must have a current physical, signed parental consent form, a completed verification of residency form, and a completed concussion form. Hinds soccer ID camp

Hinds Community College’s women’s soccer program will host an ID camp July 15 at Tom Shepherd Field on its Raymond campus. The camp is open to all high school players, and will include a tour of the campus, a training session and scrimmage. The camp will run from 4 to 7 p.m., and the cost is $30.
