Betty Miller Jones of Vicksburg died Sunday, May 22, 2016, at University of Mississippi Medical Center. She was 68.

She retired from the Vicksburg Warren School District after 28 years as a special education teacher, and was a member of the Mount Calvary M. B. Church. She was a 1966 graduate of Rosa A Temple High School, a 1970 graduate of Alcorn State University and a graduate of Jackson State University, where she received her specialist degree in education. She was a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.
