Thomas L. Smith died Sunday, May 22, 2016, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center. He was 59.

He was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg, where he was a graduate of Vicksburg High School. He was employed as a lab technician at the Nissan Manufacturing Plant in Canton, and was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed working on old cars and motorcycles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Nathan Sr. and Margaret Elizabeth Lentz Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Pam N. Smith of Vicksburg; stepdaughter, Natalie Epperson of Raymond; stepsons, Joshua Fuller of Covington, Ga., and Jacob Fuller of Mary Esther, Fla.; his brother, James N. Smith Jr. of Huntsville, Ala.; and one niece and one nephew.

Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery with Paul Epperson and Robert Netterville officiating.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 p.m. until the hour of the service at Glenwood Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Greg Carr, Greg Strong, Lamar Heffner, Mike Davis, David Smith and Jeffrey Smith.
