Gwen G. Pettway passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, in Knoxville, Tenn. She was 91.

Mrs. Pettway was born in Louisiana and was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg.  She was a devoted wife, mother and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Nell Griffith; and her husband, Willis E. Pettway.

Survivors include one son, Willis Cecil Pettway and daughter-in-law, Kimberly C. Pettway of  Lenoir City, Tenn.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2016, at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Ivey officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, and Friday from 9 a.m. until the hour of service.

Pallbearers will be Joe Fitzgerald, Billy Ray, Bubba Rowland, Wesley Rowland, Waverly Artz, Tommy Shelton. Honorary pallbearers will be James “Buddy” Rowland, John Black, John Oakes, Harold Blue, Ronnie Herrod and employees of the First National Bank.
