Virginia Hinson Fields, 80, of Vicksburg, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at her home in Vicksburg.

She was born in Humbolt, Tenn., June 30, 1935, and graduated from Corinth High School in 1954.

Virginia was the owner and operator of Jinny’s Country Cupboard in Corinth, where she shared her love for cooking with her community. After serving as a bookkeeper for WCMA radio, she ultimately retired from Belk Department Store.

Virginia was a longtime member of Tate Baptist Church in Corinth as well as a faithful and active member of First Baptist Church of Vicksburg, where she spent her time in joyful service to her God and church family. She explored the world through a favorite pastime — reading — and leaves a legacy of love to her family and friends.

Virginia ended her time here on earth the way she lived it — peacefully and with those she loved nearby.
