Shots fired, girl injured

Vicksburg police are investigating a reported shooting in which a 15-year-old girl was cut in the leg by broken glass.

The shooting was reported at approximately 9:45 p.m. Saturday night in the area of Elizabeth Circle and Alcorn Drive

Police Capt. Sandra Williams said the girl was in a car when shots were fired into the car, breaking the glass and cutting her. She was taken to Merit Health River Region Medical Center.

Williams said two people were being held for questioning.
