Pete Gus Butchikas, 86, of  Vicksburg, died Sunday at his home.

He was born in Clarksdale and graduated from St. Aloysius High School, Class of 1948.  He was a former employee of the Glass Kitchen and worked for F&G beverage until his retirement.

He is survived by several relatives, including Gus and Patty Butchikas of Panama City, Fla.; Delores Nosser of Vicksburg; and  close friends, Joe Holmes, Charles Holmes, and Richard Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gus Butchikas and Thelma Maroone Butchikas; and a sister, Margaret Butchikas Simmons.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Riles Funeral Home with Dr. Matt Buckles of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
