Edith Taylor Beasley

On June 11, 2016, Edith Taylor Beasley, 73, passed from this earthly world and walked into her Savior’s arms in Glory. She died at her home in Cayuga, where she was born and where she raised her family.
Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends who loved her dearly. She was lovingly known as Edie, Mom and Granny. She will be remembered as a woman who loved the Lord and who cherished her family. She was an avid gardener, and those who knew her best knew how she loved to collect petrified wood from Bayou Pierre.
She is survived by her husband, Richard S. Beasley of Cayuga; her daughters, Teresa Jones of Vicksburg, Debbie Crow and her husband Jerry of Utica, Melinda Dingler and her husband Larry of Dryden, Texas, Virginia Augustine and her husband Reed of Utica; her sisters, Hazel Curtis of Utica and Virginia Hole of Burke, Va.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Burnell and Marguerite Taylor; her stepmother, Hazel Taylor; and her brother, Powell Taylor.
Graveside services were held at Cayuga Cemetery June 14, 2016 at 1:30 p.m.
