Margaret Y. Aldridge of Vicksburg died Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at Merit Health River Region Hospital. She was 87 years old. She was born in Homewood and had been living in Vicksburg since 1971.

Mrs. Aldridge was a schoolteacher in Clarksdale and at Porters Chapel Academy. She later worked for Water Ways Experiment Station as an accountant. She was a member of Hawkins United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Avon E. Aldridge and a son Gary A. Aldridge. She is survived by her son, Ronnie Aldridge (Jean) of Vicksburg; a brother, Lloyd Youngblood of Kerns, Tenn.; and two grandsons, Austin Aldridge of Vicksburg and Joshua Aldridge of Houston.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2016, at Glenwood Funeral Home with graveside services at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2016, at Eastern Cemetery in Forest.
