Bobbie Sue Moss ‘Mawcool’ McCool

Bobbie Sue Moss “Mawcool” McCool, age 83, of Vicksburg, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus, on June 18, 2016, at her daughter’s home in Brandon.

Mrs. McCool was born Nov. 8, 1932, in Dossville to Otis and Eldredge Alice Smith Moss.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Norris Franklin McCool Sr.; her parents; and her brother, Jim Allen “Jimmy” Moss.

Survivors include her children, Norris Franklin “Frankie” McCool Jr. (Gail) of Puyallup, Wash., Jimmie Ray McCool of Pelahatchie, John Craig McCool (Carol) of Wilmer, Ala., Dwight Randall McCool (Sue) of Vicksburg and Rebecca Dianne Sibley (Travis) of Brandon; her sister, Margie Dowell (Cliff) of Kosciusko; her brother, Vernon Moss (Barbara) of Lexington, Ky.; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2016, at Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Burch and the Rev. Charles Harris officiating. Burial will be at Lakewood Memorial Cemetery in Jackson.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at Glenwood Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be John Arnold, Adam Cook, William Cook, Steve Cooper, Pat Daughtry and Scott McClellan. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Baptist Church, 3365 Porters Chapel Rd., Vicksburg, MS 39180.
