Man charged in theft of air compressor

A Warren County man faces grand larceny charges in the theft of an air compressor after his arrest Saturday by Warren County sheriff’s deputies, Sheriff Martin Pace said.
Taylor Burton, 25, is accused of taking a coin-operated air compressor June 21 from a convenience store at the intersection of Indiana Avenue and Lee Road, Pace said. He said Burton was arrested about 5 p.m. Saturday at an acquaintance’s home on the 1500 block of Adams Street.
He was being held without bail in the Warren County Jail pending an initial apprearance in Justice Court.
Man accused of stealing car from Louisiana
A Vicksburg man faces auto theft charges after his arrest Saturday during a traffic stop for not wearing a seat belt on Wisconsin Avenue, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.
Anthony Woodland was arrested after a car tag check during the stop indicated the car he was driving was reported stolen out of Ouachita Parish, La.
He was being held without bail in the Issaquena County Regional Correctional Facility pending an initial appearance in Municipal Court.
Woman charged with malicious mischief
A Vicksburg woman was arrested Friday on a warrant charging her with felony malicious mischief in connection with an incident in which a car was damaged, Vicksburg Police Capt. Sandra Williams said. She was being held Issaquena County Regional Correctional Facility pending an initial appearance in Municipal Court.
Man arrested on MDOC warrant
A Vicksburg man was arrested Friday on a Mississippi Department of Corrections warrant charging him with probation violation, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.
Corey Griffin, 30, was arrested at the Vicksburg Police Department, when a records check while he was being booked on a misdemeanor charge indicated the MDOC warrant.
Vicksburg man arrested in undercover drug bust
A Vicksburg man faces a charge of sale of cocaine after his arrest Friday, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.
Lance Maniel, 35, was arrested as part of a police undercover drug investigation. He also face charges from the Mississippi Department of Corrections. He is in the Issaquena County Regional Correctional Facility pending an initial appearance in Municipal Court.
Man faces multiple drug charges
A Vicksburg man faces multiple drug charges after his arrest Saturday in the 3900 block of Washington Street, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.
Jermaine Johnson, 37, is charged in a warrant with possession of cocaine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of ecstasy and possession of class 3 and 4 narcotics with intent to sell.
The warrant stems from a June 30 search of Johnson’s home, in which the drugs, with a street value of $4,200 were found.
When he was arrested, Williams said, police found he had cocaine, marijuana and methamphetamine with a total street value of $3,000. He is in the Issaquena County Regional Correctional Facility pending an initial appearance in Municipal Court.
