Two Louisiana men held for stolen vehicle

Two Louisiana men accused of stealing a vehicle in Louisiana were held without bail in the Warren County Jail Tuesday.

Michael Reliford, 57, of Haughton, La., and Drammie Turner, 45, of Shrevport, La. were arrested near the Flowers exit eastbound on Interstate 20 around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday and charged with possession of stolen property, Sheriff Martin Pace said.

The Ford F350 Reliford was driving had a Texas license plate and had been reported stolen in Haughton, La., Pace said. Sgt. Ray Thompson and officer Zach Primo stopped the vehicle and took the men into custody.

The men will make their initial appearance in Justice Court Tuesday where they will choose to either waive or not waive extradition, Pace said.

Vehicle missing from driveway

A vehicle was missing Tuesday following a theft reported Tuesday in Warren County.

At 1:39 a.m. Tuesday, a tan Chevrolet S10 with the Mississippi license plate WA6083 and a broken tailpipe was reported stolen from a home on the 8000 block of Halls Ferry Road, according to sheriff’s records.

Change taken from business

Change from a machine was missing Tuesday following a theft reported Monday in Warren County.

At 10:26 a.m. Monday, the top of a washing machine where coins are inserted was reported ripped from an appliance at a business on the 600 block of U.S. 80, according to sheriff’s records. The damage to the machine and the change stolen are reportedly valued at $1,000.
