Karen Mixon Carpenter died Sunday, July 17, 2016, at her home. She was 42.

Karen was a native of Horn Lake and made her home in Vicksburg for the past 15 years. She was a member of the Vicksburg Moose Lodge #1581 and was a member of Goodrum Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Mike Carpenter of Vicksburg; her three daughters, Christian Mixon and her fiancé Blake, Caley Carpenter and Caitlin Carpenter, all of Vicksburg; her mother, Diane Feuerstein of St. Augustine, Fla.; and her three sisters, Kim Prestage of Southhaven, Kelly Lane and Sydney Feuerstein of St. Augustine, Fla.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at the chapel of Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Dwight Sibley officiating. Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Rainey, Josh Reeves, Cole Prestage, Tracy Jewell, Kendall Bagshaw, William McClellan, Robert Carpenter and Brody Cook.
