Daniel Gregory Hogan died Friday, July 22, 2016, at the Bluffs Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. He was 56.
Danny was born in Vicksburg and was the son of the late Hoyt Mayland Hogan Sr. and Kathryn Ameen Walker. He was a graduate of Warren Central High School. Danny was a retired welder and construction worker. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by two sisters, Charlotte Stinson (Clyde) of Vicksburg and Tina Foley (Robert, Jr.) of Vicksburg; two brothers, Hoyt Mayland “Bobby” Hogan (Judy) and Michael Lewis Walker (Tiffany), both of Vicksburg.
Danny is survived by family members, including nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Floyd “Bud” Walker.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at Riles Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Reiber officiating. Visitation will be from 9 am until the service.
Interment will be in Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to charities of choice or to the Robert K. Foley III Memorial Scholarship, St. Aloysius High School, 1900 Grove Street, Vicksburg, MS 39183.
The family would like to express their thanks to Dr. Daniel Edney, Dr. Walter Johnston, the staff of the Bluffs Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, the staff of St. Joseph’s Hospice and the staff of Hospice Advantage for their care and love for Danny.
Pallbearers will be George Ameen, Mike Walker, Michael Walker, Hoyt Hogan, Jr., C. B. Stinson, Mike Gardner and Tony Irwin.
